Support the work of the Orchard Project in Tapachula, Mexico, growing food and community for migrant friends
Right now, the city of Tapachula, Mexico is receiving more asylum applications than anywhere in the country. Migrants and refugees who come this way have often had a very hard journey north, and face many challenges once they are in Mexico to identify their next steps. The Orchard Project works with our migrant friends to grow and harvest their own food which reduces food expenses and vegetable shortages. The farm also allows migrants to have a safe space to disconnect from what they have to live day to day. They will also have a space for social integration with the host community, as many will stay in the city for up to three months before continuing on their journey.
